Joe Worndle, missionary to Haiti and the Dominican Republic, testing a newly installed water pump.
Our ministry has been serving the faithful for over 2 decades. Our mission is to spiritually uplift the Haitian and Dominican communities, and work towards a greater good. We are tireless in our efforts to feed the hungry, shelter the children and clothe the poor. We enthusiastically support our fellow man and especially the Lord's church in Haiti, and serve as a guiding light helping and equipping others to become shining beacons.
Our greatest mission is to bring Christ to the lost and to educate people helping them to educate others, 2, Timothy 2:2.
Our membership is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more, and have a larger impact upon the community.
We have established dozens of churches all over Haiti and in the Dominican Republic. Many of our congregations have already become totally self-sufficient. We operate 4 schools of preaching, three orphanages and further provide education to people everywhere.

Rousseau church of Christ totally rebuilt after hurricane Matthew. Seating capacity 750.
Our most important goal is to bring God's Word to Haiti. Haitians are very receptive to the Word. It is a great joy to share the Good News with the people.
We have many congregations, schools and other institutions in our ministry. But many of our preachers, leaders (elders and deacons) lack proper education, especially in the Bible. We thus have established 4 schools of preaching (all of them provide two year programs). There are presently 3 such schools in Haiti and one school is located in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The school in Puerto Plata has graduated preachers and teachers since 2010. In Puerto Plata, we had our last graduation in November 2019. New classes have been started in all locations this year.
Only with proper education will the churches of Christ in Haiti not only survive but prosper. Only with well educated teachers and preachers will the many congregations reach self-sufficiency. Churches will become self-supporting, self-governing and self-propagating.
Thus most of our finances are being spent on education, i.e., Christian academies for our children (K through high school). And of course our 4 schools of preaching.
This is our most important mission. We believe in education, we believe education is the key to a better, more prosperous life and of course a more fulfilling life in Christ.
Latest News From Haiti and the Dominican Republic
Dear Folks,
I just talked to my friend who is a doctor in the Dominican Republic. He said that the Covid-19 is spreading faster now in the country. There are unfortunately conflicting accounts about testing, statistics and other information concerning the virus. The dear doctor was not able to give me accurate information but he was sure infection cases have not slowed down. Likewise, all reports from Haiti are a bit sketchy as no accurate information from the various institutes was available. One of my closest co-workers in Puerto Plata came down with a very high fever. He called me late one night and asked me what to do. I told him to hurry to the hospital and get tested. He did so but was sent home as he was unable to pay the $125 to take the test (the test was supposed to be free of charge). I sent the money the next day and he was tested. He told me the fever was so terrible, he felt like his body was on fire. He is fine now and works from his home, conducting Bible studies and services via his computer. Some people told me this is God's providence. We pray for our brethren in the Dominican Republic and we thank God.
All the reports coming out of Haiti are indeed very sketchy as well. One such report from a government institute claims a strong increase of cases. Very few fatalities were reported, but again, reports cannot be verified at this moment.
What is very interesting is that none of the 30 or so, preachers and elders from the many churches in Haiti report any fatalities. There were a few reports of some of our brethren being infected but there were no deaths.
We hope and pray that this horrible nightmare soon will come to an end for all of us. It is so difficult for our brethren in Haiti and the Dominican Republic to receive some help. People just cannot find the $125 and suffer at home without help, without medicines.
Please, remember us in Haiti and the D.R. Pray for us as our resources are almost nil.
As my doctor friend in the D.R. told me, OUR HOSPITALS ARE ALMOST EMPTY BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO COME HERE. To this agrees our son Johan who is a doctor, working in the CORONA emergency ward in a hospital in Ohio.
Files coming soon.
Your contribution will enable us to support our many programs and continue operations. We are very grateful for your generosity.
